Nagaland’s Innovations picks up Ricoh’s new digital press

Kohima-based digital print specialist in Nagaland, Innovations, will become the first in India to install Ricoh India’s newest kit, Pro C7100x, a digital production press with a fifth station. The new press along with Ricoh’s first wide-format press made its debut at the Eastern Print Pack 2014 (EPP14) in Kolkata. Ricoh also announced a new alternative to click charges with its lifetime warranty plan.

Innovations will use the new kit for printing all cards and photos, including wedding events, brochures, booklets and business cards.

Jonathan Doulo, partner at Innovation, speaking to PrintWeek India during the Eastern Print Pack 2014 (EPP14), where the new kit made its debut, said, “We print around 10-15 photo albums for tourists, wedding and family events. The extensive range of media including new textured media technology, that the C7100x supports, and the fifth station, with the ability to print clear as well as white, will boost our print quality and service to our customers.”

Innovations present digital equipment include, three smaller Ricoh presses, 2030, 2003 (MFP) and a 2430 besides a Pro C751EX. All these equipment and the new one to be installed will be covered by Ricoh’s lifetime warranty plan.

Doulo said, “With the new lifetime warranty plan, we hope to increase our volumes by offering competitive pricing to offset printers. This in turn will quicken our return on investment.”

An elated Ricoh India team, headed by COO, PP-BU Avijit Mukherjee, were present at the Ricoh stand during EPP14. Mukherjee said, “While the new C7100x series will provide printers with capabilities to expand their digital print services with super image quality and speed, the lifetime warranty plans in Ricoh power pack and Ricoh service pack, will offer our customers, to grow their volumes while paying for only as much of the print covered area.”

Ricoh also announced the sale of its first latex press to Kolkata’s wide-format specialist, Rajiv Group.
