Nahar Poly Films installs BOPP line from Brückner

Ludhiana, Punjab-based Nahar Poly Films recently installed an 8.7-m five-layer BOPP line from Brückner Maschinenbau. This is the second Brückner line at Nahar. The new installation will help the company increase productivity.

Sambhav Oswal, director, and Sanjay Madhukar Karandikar, head of plant operations at Nahar Poly Films, said, “We are pleased to be able to expand our plant park with another Brückner line. The installation of our new BOPP line went smoothly and we are now equipped to serve the needs of our customers even better.”

Nahar Poly Films started its BOPP films manufacturing in Raisen near Bhopal in 2011. The company has always focused on BOPP films as a segment, and has carved a niche for itself in the market. The company supplies a range of standard and specialty films to some of the best-known packaging film manufacturers and food and beverage brands across the globe.

The company’s annual BOPP films capacity stands at 60,000 tonnes per annum. It also provides value-added operations on the base films with its in-house metallisation and inline coating.

Nahar Poly Films is a part of Nahar Group of Companies, which has been championing the cause of Make in India much before it gained momentum. The conglomerate has been working in the textiles space since 1949 and generating employment and revenue for the exchequer under the umbrella brand Oswal Woollen Mills.
