With the new investment, the print firm is poised to offer its customers with solvent, eco-solvent and LED printing services for applications like customised office signage, company signs, big scale exhibition installations and acrylic displays among others.
Established in 2002 as a specialist in radium number plates, we have been constantly investing in latest technologies, said Mahesh Katyare, director at Classic Arts.
Speaking about the USP of the press, Katyare said, "The new machine enables us to print roll-to-roll as well as rigid media using same inks for both the applications. Moreover, the default white and clear inks offer us the luxury of producing novel applications with high-gloss spot finishes."
The reason for selecting Acuity, Katyare said, is that it has the capability to handle a wide range of roll and rigid materials including heat-sensitive film and non-PVC media.
With 45 days since installation, the company has printed over 10,000 sq/ft media adding new clients especially from architecture industry.
"We have been educating the clients about the LED technology and its applications of printing on glass and acrylic substrates. The attempt is to convert the clients from solvent or eco-solvent technology to LED technology," added Katyare.
Katyare hopes to achieve the ROI in 18 to 24 months and said he is optimistic about it.
