It is a servo driven press, the web width of Starflex varies from 10 to 20 inches, and features full servo drive (one servo per unit), UV lamps chill drums, hot and cold foiling, delam-relam, web turnbar, and other units. It also has the option to convert into a combination press with screen, offset or gravure printing units. The Starflex can print at a speed of 200m/min.
Kishore Kumar of NBG said the company already has its presence in the geography in web offset printing presses and other equipments. “Now, we are trying to strengthen our presence in the Southeast Asian market with the new product. We have an existing market and sales infrastructure in countries surrounding Thailand for our existing product range,” he said.
As it was NBG’s first Labelexpo participation, Kumar found Labelexpo Southeast Asia to be the best platform to create awareness about Starflex, which is ready for commercial use.
“We are looking for channel partners. Where our existing customers want to add new products in their portfolio, we continue with them. Then we look for new customers. This is our worldwide strategy. We are looking for somebody who can sell the machine and also provide customer service. After-sale service matters a lot in capital equipment purchase and we value our customers’ concerned,” Kumar added.
