The print production club - We the Production People (WTPP) - is preparing to visit the Award-winning lenticular print specialist, Neat Graphics on 31 October.
Organised in collaboration with PrintWeek India, the WTPP group will get a lowdown on the use of digital printing technique for the production of jobs with 3D graphics and lenticular flips.
Neat Graphics, with Sandeep Thanawala at its helm, on 7 October has been titled as a joint winner in the Industrial Product Printer category at PrintWeek India Awards 2015 for four stunning posters of Drishyam in different sizes, Elevation in 3D for an architect firm, and Mahindra Gusto scooter with a car-like feature.
The company was also nominated under the Wide-Format Printer category.
Some months ago, Neat brought home a Fespa award for the lenticular poster depicting 3D Mandala Art created from a geometric design with metallic effect.
One thing that runs common in all these award-winning jobs is Fujifilm Acuity Advance Select, the flatbed wide-format equipment (with a roll-to-roll option), which Neat invested in May 2015. At this time, Thanawala also brought in a Gbos laser system.
Hemant Randive of WTPP, who was also a jury at the Awards 2015, said, "The samples submitted by Neat stood out among the entries submitted at the Awards. At this stop in WTPP's Print Yatra, we intend to be the audience to the extended and extensive use of the flatbed wide-format digital equipment plus the finesse of the regular print jobs printed on glass, acrylic wood and printed electronics."
