Heidelberg Speedmaster SM102P is an eight-colour perfector sheetfed machine with a maximum sheet size of 28”x40”.

Asif Shaikh, CEO at Nectar Prints, said, “We brought the used machine through Chennai-based dealer Sapphire Graphics and imported the machine from the UK. At Nectar, we have registered a 25% year-on-year growth and to cater to the increased demand we decided to invest in the machine,” added Shaikh.

Shaikh said, “Turnaround time and cost plays a key factor in commercial jobs and this machine is well suited for our business needs.” He further added, “The important value addition the machine has brought is that even short delivery timelines are achievable. Now I am able to convert more orders in the same time and this has resulted in the reduced cost of production.”

With the eight-colour kit, the firm presently prints around 1,00,000 four-colour sheets of 28”x40” size per day. “In terms of tonnage, we convert around six tonnes of paper on an average each day with this machine,” concluded Shaikh.

Established in 1986 Nectar was established in a small gala with a photocopier machine. Recently, Nectar moved into its new facility in Bhiwandi which is spread over 75,000sq/ft area. In addition to this, the firm houses a raft of Heidelberg press and post-press machines on the shopfloor.
