The company’s Mutoh (Japan) eco-solvent printers, Mutoh XPJ 1641SR-P and Mutoh XPJ 1682SR-P, offer higher speed as successors to the Mutoh ValueJet series. 

The Brother (Japan) GTX-423 DTG printer and direct to embroidery demonstrated direct t-shirt printing and printing to embroidery and the DOCAN UV flatbed printer with Ricoh Gen6 printheads capable of printing on sunpack, sunboard and ACP among others was sold during the exhibition, securing the company potential deals for the future. 

Nazdar, a US-based ink manufacturer was also represented at their booth. 

The highlight of the stall was the Mutoh XPJ eco-solvent printers whose bundles of ink are designed to make the printers more competitively priced but are also created to be more durable than their Chinese counterparts. 

According to Girvir Singh Negi, one of the key industry trends is ‘Make In India’. “This trend is set to significantly impact the global signage industry in the years to come with more local manufacturing and signage expected,” he said.

Most of the company’s products on display were from Japanese companies like Mutoh and Brother, both of which are committed to running a greener business and having a low carbon footprint, with Mutoh’s inks being GreenGuard certified and Brothers’ inks being Oeko-Tex Eco Pass certified. 70% of Nazdar’s inks are for UV curing and contain minimal VOCs.

In terms of feedback regarding the event, Negi had mixed feelings. “The event was well organised, but it would be better to consolidate it into a single international event to gather more audience. We also recommend maintaining the same pricing instead of increasing it annually,” he said.
