Jagran Prakashan bags the Newspaper Award for its national edition Dainik Jagran. The last time Jagran won the Award was in 2012.
Dainik Jagran is the flagship brand of the company, and with 37 editions, Dainik Jagran covers 11 states and boasts of more than 56 million readers and 231 local editions.
The run lengths of the submitted newspapers were between 17,300 and 17,650 and were produced on Manugraph CityLine Express installed with spray dampening and Gretag Macbeth densitometer. CMS workflow was put to use and Torrent ripped plates at resolution of 1,270dpi was imaged using a Krause platesetter.
Jagran claims that it is fully conscious about quality norms and follows the IFRA guidelines when producing these newspapers.
Besides Manugraph presses, the company installed a brand new Manroland web press four years ago, at its Noida plant.
Recently, Jagran ordered a workflow solution from ppi Media, the software developer from Hamburg, so as to set up its efficiency in newspaper publication.
