Nichrome focusses on flexible packaging at PackPlus South 2014

Nichrome India, the Pune-based manufacturer and a major player in the form fill and seal industry displayed its most selling product, the Filpack FFS machine at the Packplus South 2014 show held at the Hitex Exhibition Centre from 17-20 September 2014.

Ram Mohan, senior manager-sales and marketing said, “Nichrome’s motive in exhibiting at Packplus is to meet the right customers and the platform which a show like Packplus provides, we tend to get an exposure to the targeted audience.”

The Filpack series is intended for the edible oil packaging. The series is equipped with a fully mechanical controls with simple maintenance and friendly construction. The interface is PLC controlled with a touch screen HMI panel for easy assistance. 

The system also has the ability to control the heating element in case of failure. The machine is able to achieve speeds upto 10,000 packs per hour depending on the quantity of filling. Maximum available size is of Centre Seal Packaged Pouch (CSPP) of 1000ml.

With a modern manufacturing setup spread over 10 acres of land at Shirval in Pune, the infrastructure currently accommodates a manufacturing capacity of 500 machines per year.

Having completed 5500 installations across 40 countries and with eight offices in India, Nichrome’s future plans apart from serving the packaging industry with new machines, is to become a global player in offering integrated packaging solutions, according to Mohan.
