The ninth PrintWeek India Awards ceremony will be held at Astor Ballroom, The St Regis Mumbai on 2 November 2017. Located in the business district of Lower Parel, according to its website, The St Regis Mumbai is the country’s tallest hotel tower. The Astor Ballroom is, coincidentally, on the ninth floor.
The PrintWeek Awards celebrates the best in business and production performance. This year, 24 Prisms across performance and quality category will be handed out recognising the work done by the printing companies across the country. While the quality categories recognise individual jobs within a segment, such as label printing or book printing, the performance categories look at the overall performance of a printing company. The coveted among them is the PrintWeek India Printing Company of the Year, the highest of accolades. In 2016, Mumbai-based Parksons Packaging took home the Prism.
This year, the Awards received more than 1,000 entries. A team of juries, comprising experts in the business, will go through the samples, prepare a shortlist and will eventually decide upon a winner, which will be revealed during the Awards night on 2 November.
“This year was particularly difficult of the industry, starting with the after-effects of demonetisation announced last year and then, the shift to GST regime. Despite this, we have received over 1,000 entries for the Awards. This is a testament to the industry’s innate strength and confidence, Ramu Ramanathan, editor, PrintWeek India, said.
Come 2 November and this confidence will be rewarded.
Top print equipment and consumables manufacturers and suppliers have supported the PrintWeek India Awards 2017. They are Advanced Graphics Systems (AGS), Bobst, Canon, Fujifilm, Heidelberg India, Kodak, Pidilite, Siegwerk, Sona Paper, TechNova Imaging Systems and Welbound Worldwide.
Winners will be announced on 2 November at the St Regis in Mumbai.
