Accurate had installed its first Weigang label press with the same configuration in 2014.

Pawan Sharma of Accurate Labels said that the new investment will help the company meet the increasing demand for labels from its existing customers. “Being a growing company, we needed a backup for continuous support to our customers. We have hands-on experience on Chinese machinery for the last four years. This repeat order shows our confidence in the machine. The new investment will help double our production,” he added.

Sharma is seeing positivity in the market. “I believe the current year will be good for us because demand from our existing customers is increasing and new customers are also associating with us,” he said.

Meanwhile, a few months back, Navya, Sharma’s daughter, joined the company and is looking after business development.

Beside the investment in machinery, Accurate Labels also invested in a 10,000 sq/ft of land recently. Sharma said the existing production facility will be shifted to the new real estate by the middle of 2018. “We bought the land to fit the entire operation under one roof and to make it more synchronised,” Sharma said.

Since 2014, Accurate has also added offline die-cutting and rotary die-cutting machines to its fleet. “Our value additions like cold-foiling and spot UV with textured finish help us create different labels. Because of those value additions, we can ask for premium from our customers. Right now, we convert around 75,000 sq/m label stock per month,” said Sharma.

On future, he said, in coming three years the company will be doubling its turnover from Rs 3 to Rs 6 crore. “We will be going for combination (digital + flexo) printing press in future to meet short-run demands. Margins and run length of labels are going down and competition is becoming stiff. Sooner or later digital printing press will be essential for a label printers and fast turnaround time will be the key factor for growth,” he added.

Accurate services multiple customers from FMCG, pharma, cosmetics, stationary and others, 18 people working in a 12-hour shift.

Accurate outsources 75,000 sq/cm flexo plates for its printing presses and its in-house designing team is capable of handling any design issues that a pressroom faces.
