Four nominations for India at WARC 2018 awards

Four Indian campaigns have been shortlisted in a total of 21 in the Effective Innovation category of the annual WARC awards.

The companies in the shortlist include, the Womb for the product Carvaan built for Sa Re Ga Ma, Taproot Dentsu for the Adidas Odds campaign, McCann Worldgroup for its campaign ‘Bank in a Box’ created for IDFC Bank and Zapr Media Labs for their campaign ‘How 1,00,000 TV commercial viewers made snap decisions on their mobile for a holiday at Club Mahindra’ created for Club Mahindra Holidays.
 
The United States leads the shortlists with seven (including North American campaigns) while India comes second with four; Thailand and the United Arab Emirates have three each.
 
According to its website, the aim of the WARC awards' Effective Innovation category is to recognise innovative thinking that delivers tangible results. There is USD 10,000 (Rs 6.5 lakhs approximately) prize fund for the best papers and the winners will be announced in late May.
 
Founded in 1985, WARC is an online service offering advertising best practice, evidence and insights from the world's leading brands. It hosts annual case-study competitions including the WARC awards and the WARC Media awards.
