NPES kick starts at PrintPack 2013

Industry veteran Viren Chhabra set the ball rolling for this year’s NPES conference after the customary traditional lighting of the lamp. Chhabra rolled back the years as he enthralled the crowd with recollections of how the Indian printing industry has evolved since he first started out.

Chhabra said, "It gives me great pleasure to see how far we have come as an industry and the technological development that we have embraced.”

The two-day conference will feature prominent speaker from various walks of the printing industry.

The event’s theme is Mission possible - How to profit from new technologies and the event is being organised at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida along with PrintPack 2013.

The conference's speaker list for day one included Ralph Nappi, president, NPES, Jim Hamilton, group director, InfoTrends, A Appadurai, Hewlett Packard, Tim Mercy, managing director, Goss International, Vic Stalam, senior vice-president sales and marketing, X-rite Pantone, William K Smythe, NPES VP global programs, Amila Singhvi, managing director, International Print-O Pack, Naresh Khanna, publisher, IPP and Packaging South Asia

Tomorrow’s sessions will focus on the growing segments and trends in newspaper and packaging printing with industry biggies such as K Balaji, Sanat Hazra, RD Bhatnagar, Timothy Ruth, Vinve Balistrieri, Jim Hamilton among several others holding various sessions and technical discussions.
