NPES Print business Conference 2013, day two: speakers discuss trends in packaging and newspapers
The early morning sessions of NPES Print Business Conference 2013 focused upon the latest trend in the global newspaper printing industry. The speaker list featured head honchos of leading newspaper publishing business.

According to a research by Manroland, India is the third fastest growing newspaper market behind China and Brazil. The second session of the morning was a supplier session focusing on new developments in press colour, waste reduction, newspaper trends and UV solutions.
The post-lunch sessions picked up pace as Smitha Jha of PricewaterhouseCoopers India churned out statistics from the entertainment and media research report by PwC which stated that the Indian print industry was valued at Rs 190.7bn and by 2016, the industry will be worth Rs 296-billion.
This was followed with sessions by Jim Hamilton, Hal Hinderliter, Randy Freeman and A Appadurai talking on various topics such as colour management, pressroom of future, and new developments in the flexible and paper packaging.
The day wrapped up with an overview of the printing industry by Bodi Kampani, president and managing director, Toyo Ink India.
