Speaking to PrintWeek India, Nitin Patil of Numex Blocks said, “With this installation, we have added on to our existing capacity. Thanks to the wider size, we will be able to cater to CI flexo and label printers in more effective ways.”
According to Patil, it is the speed and size of the machine that prompted him to make the purchase. The CDI 5080 can image digital flexo plates up to 50x80inch size at a speed of as high as 8.0sq/m per hour.
Niranjan Delavictoire, general manager – South Asia, Esko, said, “Numex can now provide 100% high definition digital plates to all its customers. With the Esko’s packaging workflow integrated with the CDI Cantilever 1450 and 5080 with HD Flexo, the machine caters to all flexo and letterpress applications, labels, flexibles, and cartons.”
Established in 1985, Numex Blocks is a renowned pre-press trade shop, which specialises in flexo and letterpress plate production for the flexible packaging, labels and corrugated markets across India.

Esko has a long-standing association with Numex. “The 12 year old association with Numex started when the company forayed into digital flexo platemaking in 2002. With the packaging workflow and HD Flexo, Numex is all geared to serve the complete spectrum of the Indian flexo market,” concluded Delavictoire.
