The packaging firm has ordered a brand new Heidelberg CD 102 seven-colour plus coater press, which will be installed at this new plant. This is a combi press with UV and IR drying systems and closed loop colour management.

The new plant is designed to be a green building as a part of its strategy to reduce our carbon footprint and strengthen green credentials, said Jatinder Shroff, director of Nutech, while speaking to PrintWeek India.

“We have incorporated intelligent power management features and better insulation, which would enable us to reduce heat and thereby air conditioning, on the other hand, we will be able to encourage maximum utilisation of natural light,” said Shroff.

Besides this, the plant will have sewage treatment unit, effluent treatment unit, rain water harvesting system and organic gardens.

“This will not only give us satisfaction for our efforts towards environment, but also, it is an investment for the future. It would give us an edge as a green printer, when it comes to big brands and multinational customers,” added Shroff.

In addition to the CD 102, the print packaging firm has added a highly equipped Kohmann window-patching machine and Perfecta automatic cutting line with turning table. Besides this, Nutech will also add equipment to its finishing department in the form of lamination, hot foiling and cold foiling kit in next few months.

“The plan to shift entire operations to the new facility. The investment will nearly double our production capacity," concluded Shroff.
