Narrow web press manufacturer has announced that New Delhi-based Kap Cones has signed a purchase order for Xflex X6 flexo press. The deal was signed on the first evening of the show.
A sold to Any Graphics was also seen on the XFlex X6 press that was on display at the Omet stand last morning, the second day of the show.
Besides the two sales announcements, the highlight of the Omet stand was the new iFlex 370 entry level press, which Massimo Bellingardi, marketing coordinator for Omet said, is supported by tools designed to reach the best performance in terms of quality, rapidity of changeover, waste savings and maneuverability by the operator.
Pawandeep Singh of Weldon Celloplast, the Indian representative of Omet, said, “The iLight, the iVision and the QCDC (quick change die cutting) are the pre-register and register devices that contribute to speed up the machine set ups and job changeovers. It's set ups are like that of a digital. The Rock’n’Roll is by far the most performing matrix waste rewinding system on the market.”
Also running at the show was the XFlex X6 Offset press that was introduced during the last edition. But the XFlex X6 Digital, the 430mm four-colour digital inkjet unit JetPlus, Bellingardi claimed, is the future of print. The press was prototyped six years ago, and Bellingardi said, “a lot of effort” has been put in refining the press to make it a perfect market ready product. “We have ensured that the digital unit is in sync with the flexo units so that the registrations is done without much loss, which should be the ultimate aim of getting to digital.”
Wellingardi said, “will bring enormous advantages in terms of energy consumption and overall performance”.
In 2014, Omet sold 64 presses and has forecast a figure of 85 for 2015.
