Manish Jain, owner of Options Printofast, said, “I believe in the Komori technology. In 2010, the director of Komori had visited me when we were looking for a machine to convert jobs of 25x36-inch size. At that time Komori did not have this size but I committed to him that if they would design a machine to print this size, I will be buy two machines.”
“Most of our jobs are of the size 24x36 inches; therefore, this machine is suitable for us. We consume around 200 plates every day. However, I believe that our pre-press still requires a revamp. As far as quality controls are concerned, we have developed our own systems, and our post-press includes all the essential equipment to produce the jobs to fulfill the customers' demand,” he said while explaining the print powers of the company.
Asked how the company manages to convert jobs on time amidst shortage of quality human resource, he said, “We are under-staffed but this keeps us active and healthy in the slow times. We work in two shifts and mainly work for book publishers and FMCG companies."
Jain feels that book publishing has tremendous scope for growth in the coming years. “India is a country with huge opportunities for book publishing as more than 30% of the population is still illiterate. However, quality raw material availability is still scarce.”
He also added that the company will soon invest in another Komori LA 37 and a CTP solution for its plants.
