Packaging conference alongside ProPak
The ProPak 2018 exhibition has begun today. Alongside the expo in Greater Noida, a power-packed conference comprising of a series of knowledge sharing sessions is underway.

Prof Pierre Pienaar, president, World Packaging Organisation and Chakravarthi AVPS, global brand ambassador, World Packaging Organisation will deliver the keynote addresses at the two-day conference.
On Day One, Prof Pienaar will chair a panel on Industry 4.0 consisting of Amit Ray of Uflex, Saket Bhatia of Hindustan Tin Works, and Piruz Khambatta of Rasna Internationals.
Furthermore, a session on the smart technologies, trends and digitalisation in the liquid food and beverage industry will be presented by Andrew Manly of Active and Intelligent Packaging Association, Kousik Saha of PepsiCo, Hitendra Vigamal and Trisha Narula of ABB India.
The focus will then shift to the talk of the town – plastic waste control and solid waste management. Chaired by S Chidambar, technical editor, Packaging South Asia, the session will see Dr Vijay Habbu, senior vice president, Reliance Industries and Jaideep Gokhale, communications director, south and south-east Asia, Tetra Pak, throw light on the subject.
Moreover, the conference will discuss relevant trends in e-commerce packaging, the economic impact of trade barriers, novel ideas for start-up in food processing and packaging sector, and women in the processing and packaging industry.
