Packaging Converter (General) 2015: Parksons Packaging
Quality Awards |

The samples were certainly sent as entry for the general packaging category, but there was a kind of finesse to them. Parksons Packaging wins the Award for all-round excellence in packaging printing and finishing.
For its sample Child Cet twin pack, the client Toro Israel was looking for a carton that would be attractive but not loud. It also wanted subtle effects. Parksons offered cold-foil on certain portions of the pack, highlighting them with subtle metallic look and silver border, which separated it from the pristine white of the board. “This has enhanced the overall appeal and aesthetics of the board,” said a judge.
While the Cadbury Silk gift pack had exceptional graphic design, Parksons’ printing expertise resulted in effective differentiation on the shelf. The Gems Play Pack had a different story to tell. The trademarked play pack concept created four compartments which rotate on two axes, giving six equal-sized brand faces. This introduced an intuitive playful element, affording the brand to tell a story.
The fourth sample, Tugain for Cipla was printed and put through foiling and UV processes. Parksons deployed Esko’s workflow, and Heidelberg and KBA presses to print the packaging products.
