Rohit Jain and Rajat Jain of PackIt Packaging said, “We had a refurbished violet CTP earlier. But due to issues of spare availability and the non-availability of a new device in violet CTP, we decided to go for a new thermal CTP, the Thermostar T9 from TechNova.”
The Jain brothers said they wanted a more reliable CTP device to deliver quality as it is the company’s commitment. “TechNova, with its presence in Indore in terms of MIF, backed by their local and corporate expertise, guidance, and technical support, helped us adopt the right technology,” they added.
PackIt is a premium box manufacturing company, specialised in packaging and printing. PackIt was planned and conceptualised in 2016 with a strong foundation rooted in its parent company, JK Corrugated Box Industries, which was established in 1973. The first corrugation manufacturing plant was started with a sum of Rs 1 lakh, granted by the government of India under the scheme to promote the business under its name, which was initiated by JK Jain.
The company underwent a significant expansion by establishing Pack IT, offering both printing and packaging facilities under one roof.
“We’ve spent the last decade perfecting customised, innovative packaging solutions for businesses across industries,” the Jains said.
The company’s core business area is value-added textures on F-flute mono cartons and duplex cartons across specialised confectionery and food, agarbatti, pharmaceuticals, gift and toy industries. Rohit and Rajat Jain handle various functions like technical development, finance, production, and marketing.
The brothers said the new machine has helped enhance quality and planning the production capacity of three printing machines in line with an advantage to do press standardisation being having it in-house. “It gives us the liberty to switch and change jobs according to need on any machine ensuring the same results,” they said, adding, “It also enables the advantage of using CIP3 and different measuring tools for better printing results. More importantly, the in-house CTP has given a huge plus of bringing the press downtime to zero.”
