PackPlus 2018: Alok International to display IR and UV lamps
New Delhi-based Alok International, which represents UK’s Victory Lighting, will display a range of infrared (IR), ultraviolet (UV) lamps and ceramic infrared heaters at PackPlus 2018.

Speaking to WhatPackaging?, Alok Markan, director at Alok International, said, “We have been in the business of selling IR lamps for more than 15 years. Since UV is a fairly new product of ours, we want to reach out to potential customers and make them aware of our product capabilities”
Alok International offers UV lamps from an arc length range of four inches to 42 inches and also supplies IR lamps for polyethylene terephthalate (PET) blow moulding machines.
Markan explained, “PET preforms are manufactured by injection moulding process. In order to blow them into bottles, they need to be reheated. The properties of PET make them readily absorb the heat generated by infrared lamps, especially shortwave.”
The company offers shortwave IR lamps with a nominal working life of 5000 hours.
“We can customise the lamps as per customer's requirement even for a small lot size. We have been supplying our products to most of the original equipment manufacturers in the printing industries.” added Markan.
