PackPlus South records footfall of more than 9,000 visitors
The four-day PackPlus South and PrintFair 2019, which concluded on 13 April 2019 at BIEC, Bengaluru, recorded a footfall of 9888 visitors who thronged the exhibiti0n site to experience the product offerings from 259 exhibitors. This included more than 150 live demonstrations of machines.

Top exhibitors at this year’s PackPlus South included Supreme Industries, Signode India, KP Water Corporation, Domino Printech India, Hilda Automation, Bizongo, and Bericap India, amongst others.
At the show, Bizongo displayed its design, development and procurement solutions.
Shalmali Patkar, associate director-marketing, Bizongo, said, “At PackPlus South, we have been able to meet clients across various industries, food being one of the major sectors. We also received clients from automobile and warehousing sectors. We are getting good exposure in the southern market and this show has overall been a good experience for us.”
Elixir Technologies showcased its state-of-the-art solutions for modified atmosphere packaging such as vacuum packaging and tray packaging. Meanwhile, KP Water Corporation displayed its fully automatic bottling line and the Robopac stretch wrapping machine was on display at the Durapak stall.
Ritesh Barot, partner, KP Water Corporation, said, “We received an overwhelming response from visitors with bookings worth Rs 1.8-cr in three days.”
The show also witnessed international participation from companies like Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) and PalletCo from Dubai and Guangzhou Hengrui from China.
The concurrent show, PrintFair 2019, organised in association with Karnataka State Printers Association (KSPA), hosted a complete range of equipment for commercial printing, converting and large-format graphics.
Few of the exhibiting companies at PrintFair 2019 included Epson, Xerox, Canon, Konica Minolta, NBG Printographic Machinery and Grafica Flextronica, amongst others.
Canon showcased its ImagePress C8000 digital press along with imagePrograf TX 5400 and TM5300.
Few of the deals carried out during both the events included Exelcode’s FASTJET F500, a small character inkjet printer designed for high-end code, being procured by Bengaluru-based SK Enterprises and Harsh Digital Print’s purchase of an eco-solvent machine from Epson.
The first edition of Drink Technology India (DTI) South was conducted at the adjacent hall. The show featured more than 90 brands, 6,481 visitors and an extensive supporting programme.
According to Neetu Arora, director, Next Events, PackPlus South will come back to Hyderabad on March 2020. PackPlus will be held from 28 to 31 August 2019 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
