According to Vikas Sule, proprietor at Padma Prints, the equipment is the most multi-functional system of its type available in the market today. "We opted for the S3 model from Zund because of its versatality of substrates it can cater to and sturdiness of the machine," added Sule.

Until now, Padma Prints' die-cutting work was labour intensive and involved manual finishing, but the addition of Zund digital cutter will speed up this end of the production process. Because of Padma Prints's ability to work across all sizes and substrates, its cutter needed to reflect the same amount of versatility in operation and be able to work with varied thicknesses, lengths and widths.

The S3 Zund digital cutter installed at Padma Print' Thane unit is equipped with cutting, routing and scoring as well as kiss-cut and creasing knives. The 32 x 52 inches S3 cutter can easily handle a wide range of media used in the Indian graphics/signage industry in the most effective and productive manner while achieving the highest standards or quality.

Padma Prints was established in 1978 as a screen printing firm and then invested in single colour offset press and now with a digital press from Xerox, the company has become a full fledged solution provider to the graphics industry. Padma Prints has plans to expand its business by investing in the flatbed wide-format presses.
