Pamex 2020: Sangeeta focuses on sustainability
Mumbai-based manufacturers of Polypropylene sheets, Sangeeta Poly Pack highlighted its focus on sustainable operations at Pamex 2020, which is slated from 6-9 January 2020.

Speaking to PrintWeek, Amardeep Singh Arora, managing director, Sangeeta Poly Pack said, “Sustainability is at the heart of Sangeeta Poly Pack. All our machines are consciously selected to convert, compostable, and biodegradable raw materials.”
The company has added another recycling facility in Daman, which has enabled the company to double its recycling capacity from 10 to 20%. The first phase of this facility was established in 2019.
“We buy back the products and recycles them to non-printing applications such as floor guards. We have also recently introduced a compostable and biodegradable product,” added Arora.
The company also offers PP corrugated sheets, which according to Arora is in demand after the new regulations pertaining to plastic were adapted. “All the products that we offer are over 300 microns and hence, the ban has in a way boosted the demand for our products,” he said.
In addition, Arora participates in the Versova beach clean-up initiative formed by Afroz Shah Foundation, where door-to-door waste collection practices are carried out. The company also funds the foundation.
The PP specialist owns a manufacturing facility at Daman, which is spread over 100,000 sq/ft, and is equipped to handle 20,000 tons per annum.
