According to the organisers, the event this year broke all previous records with more than 425 exhibitors showcasing their products and services. The exhibition will host demos of at least 250 big machines and 700 small machines.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony on 27 March, Ravindra Joshi, president, All India Master Printers’ Association, said, “I am delighted that the Pamex show is returning after a gap of two years. This gathering of print professionals says a lot about what’s transpiring in the Indian print industry. We have, at Pamex 2023, 435 stands with 250 big machines and 700 small machines running live. This shows the efforts of the Pamex team, and that of the organiser, Print-Packaging.com.”
Also on the stage were two past presidents, Kamal Chopra and Manoj Mehta, both of whom are heading two international forums – World Print & Communication Forum (WPCF) and FAFTA, respectively.
Chopra said, “Covid-19 was a difficult time, but with the pandemic almost behind us, we are back to happier times. We have also observed that print’s growth is returning, and in Europe, it has already seen a 2% growth. That’s a good sign.”
Pamex 2023 will have a separate hall devoted to convergence in the Print Industry. Convergence is a phenomenon that has been happening over the past few years. At one end, it is driven by the printers who are looking to diversify into an industry segment beyond their primary focus. On the other hand, the emerging technologies make it possible for printers to offer newer applications, enhancements and embellishments from their equipment.
The convergence hall at Pamex will likely see a plethora of such cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence and augmented reality.
