This year's edition of Pamex comes eleven months after the successful return of Pamex 2023, which took place after a three-year hiatus.

The president of AIFMP, RN Dutta Baruah, expressed his satisfaction at the fact that the industry has bounced back from the Covid-19 pandemic and that the participation of the industry in Pamex is a positive sign.

Tushar Dhote, the chairman of Pamex, stated that the commercial segment has grown by 5%, labels by 17%, and packaging, including flexible packaging, by 20%. Additionally, publishing, especially books, has seen a significant turnaround. Dhote added that, "India is booming as far as the printing industry is concerned."

Dhote also mentioned that almost 750 machines are on display, of which 150 are running live. He compared the event to a mini version of Drupa, a renowned international trade fair for the printing industry.

The Innovation Pavilion, which runs parallel to the Pamex show, provides opportunities for knowledge-sharing and learning about future printing technologies. On the evening of 8 February 2024, AIFMP will be hosting the NAEP awards.
