Apart from this, the company will also be showcasing its latest video plate mounter, the Ultraflex AF 750, which is the fastest plate mounter in the industry and a 100% inspection slitter-rewinder with speeds of 350-m/min.
Abhay Datta of UV Graphic Technologies, the Ultraflex has been delivering a very short makeready with minimum wastage. "A visiting customer can ask us how fast and efficient our machines are capable of producing sellable materials in the real-world production atmosphere,” he said, adding, “With savings of 70% power, LED UV is now our mainstream supply with 90% of machine dispatched in FY23-24 being built with LED. We would be happy to explain to our visitors how LED can be cost-effective, and environment-friendly and help lower the production cost in the long run.
Datta said the company had a successful Pamex 2023 “Pamex has helped us cement our commanding position in the market and you will be happy to know we had overseas visitors at our stall at Pamex 2023. This culminated in multiple export orders,” he said.
Last year at the show, the company launched its mid-web press, Ultraflex UFO XL670. “With this, we have now a product to cater to the upcoming short-run flexible market, which usually is not been able to be catered to by the gravure. The UFO XL 670 has received a good response since its launch in April 2022, and we are proud to confirm that we have orders for more than 10 machines for this model,” he said.
Datta said since Covid, printers have been cautious about new investments. “They don’t want to keep all eggs in one basket. They want to have a diversified portfolio so that any ups and downs in a particular vertical can be offset with better business coming from other verticals. A classic example in the label Industry is how label printers have kept options in the flexible space,” he explained.
For UV Graphic Technologies, its installation base has seen robust growth in 2023 with more than 100 installations.
The company is upbeat about the coming fiscal as well. “With a very positive response to our Ultraflex UFO XL670, we expect this market to grow exponentially in the coming years. Also, many label printers are adding capacity this year. We would see deliveries to our satisfied customers who would be installing their fourth or even fifth Ultraflex UFO,” he concluded.
