Panel discussion: Breakthrough innovations in print
Iqbal Kherodawala, a Print Summit member, curated a panel discussion, which in a way, was a sharp contrast to how panel discussions are conducted. He stirred the audience with video presentations of four Indian print personalities, who through their innovative ideas and implementation of innovative processes, have created and delivered products which are unique and niche.

Kherodawala said, Haresh Mehta of Jayna Packaging has redefined the use of corrugated paperboard into products which have aesthetic and utilitarian appeal; Harsha Paruchuri’s Pragati Pack has made breakthrough innovations in the making and distribution of luxury rigid boxes; Rajesh Kulkarni of Keetronics has created products which are making the'Make in India' concept a reality, by replacing industrial application products currently coming from South East Asia, while the Indian citizen, Jalaluddin Kabeer of Dubai-based Delta Printing Press, has brought his company’s turnover from zero to Rs 210 crores in just nine years.
Through the video-interview with the four panellists, Kherodawala demonstrated how they have responded to trends and competition, made the most of everything they have, developed a unique selling point, have crossed the biggest barrier to successful innovation, and have moved ahead without fear. “These innovators are embedded in their organisations, self-motivated to solve customer problems. They look for good, challenging problems, which others would not dare to tread, ultimately benefitting customers, colleagues and their companies alike,” said Kherodawala.
Kherodawala embarked on this journey of video-interviews three months ago, and successfully presented it at the Print Summit 2015.
