Ashok Narayan, chief sales and marketing for industrial and footwear adhesive, Pidilite, commenting about his association with the category said, ”We are the major contributors to the print and packaging industry, both in terms of providing gluing solutions and being large buyers of a variety of packaging materials for our retail businesses. Our involvement with this award is to reinforce our commitment as a long term partner to the print industry. We, at Pidilite take immense pleasure in honouring the best in this industry.”

Established in 1959, Pidilite has evolved as a pioneer and a market leader in adhesives with extensive distribution networks, strong brands backed by qualitative R&D.

Commenting on the benefits of their services to their customers' business, Ashok said, ”Extensive distribution network backed by our techno - commercial sales professionals are available 24x7 for our customers. This helps our customers carry less inventory, address issues in quick time while improving customer satisfaction. A strong and well equipped R&D team works closely with customers to develop new products for their increasingly exacting needs."

"We also work with the machine manufacturers and offer adhesive solutions for their new installations. Our motto is to serve the print industry with a range of gluing solutions and be a valuable partner in their success,” he added.

According to Ashok, customers are increasingly adopting new technologies and installing new machines to improve productivity. "We at Pidilite are constantly striving to develop innovative products to meet stringent customer needs. PUR adhesives for lamination, water-based adhesives for dry lamination, and white glues for the corrugation segment, are all being successfully offered to our customers."

For Ashok, a part of their business challenge is in ensuring that print still remains relevant. ”Whether print would continue to be relevant or be taken over by digital media is a constant question that we keep posing to ourselves at Pidilite. We believe both mediums have their own advantages and going forward they will co-exist. We, at Pidilite look to straddle both the mediums in our endeavour to get closer to our customers.”

Last year International Print-o-Pac (Noida) bagged the award for PrintWeek India Packaging Converter of the Year (FMCG) and Pragati Pack India (Hyderabad) for Packaging Converter of the year (Luxury).
