DFWorks is a portfolio of integrated software solutions that helps improve workflow processes and productivity.
Pitney Bowes stated that Version 3.0 of the software introduces a new client tracking module, as well as significant performance improvements, enabling users to realise the full productivity potential of a White Paper Factory environment.
The DFWorks software tracks the status of jobs, documents, postage, machines and operators. This data is presented via the web, allowing verified users on an intranet or the internet to see how their jobs are performing or to check on the status of an individual document. Production managers and supervisors can see instantly how jobs are progressing against their service level agreements (SLAs).
Other salient features of the upgraded versions are:
Client job tracking: An enhanced document tracking allows for the tracking of every individual document from the moment it arrives within the workflow process. This enables users to combine jobs to gain greater postal discounts and achieve the economies of scales which can be realised by moving to a continuous print workflow while still having the tools to report back on how each individual job within the merge is progressing.
Improved workflow dashboard: The new production workflow dashboard gives a graphical representation of the status of all work-in-progress jobs and how they are performing against their SLAs. Operators have an intuitive overview of activity, enabling them to make quick production management decisions.
