Pixeljet with new Ricoh printheads, unveiled

Chennai-based Monotech Systems, the manufacturers of a range of printing equipment in multiple segments as well as the Indian representative of several overseas manufacturers, showcased its range of Pixeljet printers at the recently concluded Media Expo in Mumbai.

Manoj Garg, head of the wide-format division, Monotech Systems, said, “The wide format printing market is moving from solvent to eco-solvent.” “Hence to cater to this segment we have a full range of solvent and eco-solvent machines.” “We want to replace the solvent market with UV technology, especially on recycled media. Our aim is to march forward with green technology,” added Garg.
 
The highlight at the stall was the Pixeljet PowerGen UV Led roll-to-roll printer at the show. The eco-solvent printer is equipped with eight Ricoh GH2220 printhead with a maximum print width of up to 3200mm. 
 
Additionally, the machine is equipped with adjustable ink drop technology wherein users can adjust the ink drop size as per the requirement and has a printing resolution of up to 1200 dpi.
 
In addition to the Pixeljet printer, Monotech displayed the CubePro 3D printer machine, which has been introduced in the portfolio of Monotech Systems recently.  
 
Monotech enjoys more than 450 installations in India in multiple segments. Last year, the company sold more than 20 UV printing machines.
