Positive start to day one of Operator Development Program at PMA in Chennai
The PrintWeek India team attended day one of the three week Operator Development Program at the Print Media Academy (PMA) in Chennai.

This course from 9 April with 15, has been specially designed for operators from all over the country including Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Ahmedabad and Bhutan.
Prof Rajendrakumar Anayath, head - PMA India said "This training program was structured with a balanced combination of both theory and practical sessions - with emphasis on the latter”.
The curriculum includes fundamentals of materials and associated problems, solutions, colour and reproduction techniques, press standardisation as per ISO 12647-2 norms, print finishing and conversion, and IT applications in printing.
The participants will be provided with complete hands on training and know-how solutions on Heidelberg's Suprasetter CTP, Speedmaster SM 74, Polar cutter and Stahlfolder folding equipment which is housed on the ground floor of the plush three-storey PMA building in Chennai. The demo centre also has boasts of a Ricoh digital press, two of which have been sold in the past month.
Klaus Nielsen, the managing director of Heidelberg India said that this is a special Heidelberg India initiation for its customers and its importance in the present scenario. He stressed Heidelberg’s strong commitment towards Indian customers to impart right education for the right investment at the right time in his inaugural speech.
Guenther Keppler, the head of customer service told the participants to make the best use of this opportunity to sharpen their knowledge as the PMA provides an opportunity for the participants to share their experiences and learn and interact with each other in effective problem solving.
