Nirav Faldu of PP Digital said, “We went for the AccurioPress C12000 because its quality is acceptable compared to any other device. It fulfils our production needs. The output of the device is also very good.”
He added, “The TechNova service team and their expertise in colour matching for digital prints helped us match the output according to the demands of our customers.”
PP Digital Press has been a partnership firm since 2017. The company is in the textile printing business.
The company had been running a Kodak NexPress digital press for the last three years. Then it retired the machine and invested in two Konica Minolta AccurioPress C12000 presses from TechNova to cater to its short-run jobs.
The other machine is installed at Plus Point Imaging, which has been a partnership firm since 2014 and is also in the textile printing business.
The company caters to the textile industry in short-run catalogues and posters.
Nirav Faldu is actively involved in the business for PP Digital and Kuldeep Amrutiya is actively involved in Plus Point.
Nirav Faldu said PP Digital decided to get into digital printing as there is a demand for short-run jobs in the textile prints market.
“Surat has a very large market for printing textile prints. As the textile industry has begun cost-cutting, the companies are converting catalogues to posters and folders with short runs of 50 to 500,” he explained.
He added, “The major challenge in the textile business is that clients want their prints immediately. They are not even ready to wait for 30-60 minutes. That’s why we have installed high-end production devices due to which we can carter short-run jobs.”
The company has also installed post-press equipment, such as a UV flatbed device, a thermal lamination device and so on.
Faldu said that post-installation, the company can print 60 A3 sheets per minute and can deliver jobs to its clients fast and with good quality.
“We are expecting ROI from the machine in the next 18-24 months,” Faldu concluded.
