The post-press kit, which is already commissioned is expected to be up and running from July 2015.

The Kolbus DA 270 is a fully automatic case maker for production of book cases, files, display cards, calendar backs and game boards at rates of up to 65 cycles/min. The equipment has options like board pre-stacking conveyor for automatic magazine reloading and moveable gluing station, among others.

The Wohlenberg Quickbinder with a PUR system by Welbound Worldwide is a five-clamp perfect binding unit. The machine has a maximum book size cut-off of 430x320mm and a minimum of 110x105mm. Also, books with thickness ranging from 2mm to 70mm can be bound on the machine.

This news comes in soon after the company booked an eight-colour MPS EB 370mm flexo press, the third from the Netherlands-based manufacturer. The MPS is expected to be installed in September. Talking about the latest investment in the label press, Hemanth Paruchuri, director, Pragati Pack, said, “We were stretching lead time with the existing machinery so we opted for another press.”

The pre-owned Kolbus and Wohlenberg machine was supplied by Hyderabad-based Techno Graphic Services.
