India’s Pragati Offset has booked an automatic foil stamping machine SBL 1050 from Taiwan-based SBL Group, which started selling packaging finishing equipment under its brand name after the 10-year long cooperation with Heidelberg ended in 2015., Business
The 1050x750mm size stamping machine boasts of 8,000sph speed and will bolster efficiency and capabilities at Pragati, which has been using the Heidelberg SBB and SBD machines for hot foiling process.
Narendra Paruchuri, CEO, Pragati Offset, said, “We always look for the price-performance ratio that the machine can deliver. With Heidelberg's name associated with the company for over 10 years, gives us the confidence for investing in the Taiwanese machine.”
Established in 1962, Hyderabad-based Pragati Offset covers the full gamut of print needs – from high-quality requirements of commercial to packaging segment and point-of-sale products.
“The automatic foil stamping machine will handle our current product range more efficiently and also open up opportunities for new products,” informed Paruchuri.
The machine will be supplied by Techno Graphic Services (TGS), which represents SBL in India. TGS managing director, Muralidhar Nalli, said, “The TGS engineering team of five personnel has already completed the training at SBL’s manufacturing unit in Taipei and is well equipped to provide installation service and after sale support locally in India.”
The SBL Group is exhibiting its automatic die-cutting and creasing platen machine, automatic foil stamping and die-cutting machine, and high-speed folding and gluing machines at Hall 11 / Stall A64 at Drupa.
