Pragati sweeps nine Asian Print Awards

Hyderabad-based Pragati Offset won nine awards at the 15th Asian Print Awards held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 20 September 2019. The programme was held alongside Pack Print International Trade show PPi, which concluded on 21 September 2019.

The Awards had 23 categories and four special categories, out of which Pragati won nine awards – including three Gold awards – for eight different jobs. One of its jobs titled One Eyeland Vol 8 received two Golds in the Limited Edition and Art Reproductions, and CGS Award for Best Use of Colour categories respectively. The job was printed for Chennai-based One Eyeland using a Komori offset press on a 170 gsm art paper from Bilt.

Apart from that, Pragati received gold in the Offset Packaging category for ITC Demafique Carton, which was printed using a Komori press on ITC’s 350 gsm Cyber XL. The embellishments include soft touch varnish, foil stamping, holo foil stamping, raised UV, debossing and embossing.

Pragati received Silver Awards in categories such as Calendars, Catalogues and Digital Labels for Growel table calendar, Myscape weave brochure, and Set Wet labels respectively.

The Growel Table Calendar 2019 was printed using a Komori offset press for Hyderabad-based Growel Feeds. The job was printed on boards supplied by ITC and Bilt, which includes 250 gsm Royal Matt, 130 gsm Royal Gloss, 90 gsm Maplitho, and 250 gsm SBS boards.

Myscape weave brochure was printed for Hyderabad-based Myscape Developers using a Komori offset on 220 gsm and 300 gsm Conqueror wove high white papers supplied by Sona Papers. The Set Wet labels were printed using a HP Indigo digital printer.

Pragati received Bronze Awards for categories such as Sheetfed Magazine, Specialty Printing/Multi-piece Production, and Embellishment for Arts Illustrated magazine Feb-Mar 19, and jobs titled Byjus K3 Box, and Peerless Minds – A Celebration respectively.

The Arts Illustrated Magazine Feb-Mar 19 was printed for LA 5 Publications using a Komori offset press on Bilt papers. The jobs titled Peerless Minds and Byjus K3 Box were done for Ideas.com and Bengaluru-based Think and Learn respectively.

The annual Asian Print Awards was founded to recognise outstanding achievement in the print and packaging industries across Asia. The Awards are judged on a quality-oriented set of criteria.
