According to Hemanth Paruchuri of Pragati Pack, the acquisition of the kit is dream come true.
“I was impressed with the machine since I saw it at the HC Moog Open House in 2010. However, due to the high investment cost, we could not acquire it until now,” he said.
Paruchuri said with its multi-function printing, embossing and finishing, the 1-TBR Compact could turn even the most complicated packaging designs into products with maximum precision. At the same time, its all-in-one concept ensures economic efficiency and freedom of design.
The printing method of sheetfed gravure allows image resolutions of up to 10,160 dpi in combination with laser exposed photopolymer printing plates. This enables printers to apply hidden images on packages as integrated counterfeit protection. In addition, conventional, globally available printing cylinders can be used.
S Shyam Mohan of Animan Graphic Supplies, the Indian representative of HC Moog, said, “Premium packaging demands go beyond the scope of offset/ flexo/ digital printing and conventional/ digital effects. The compact model of the sheetfed gravure press from HC Moog, which has been installed at Pragati Pack shopfloor in Hyderabad, incorporates a state-of-the-art design, alongside the integration of sophisticated technologies. This will lead Pragati and India to the next generation of print capabilities.”
Pragati has also signed a deal to buy an Autoprint Checkmate 50 carton inspection system. This will be the eighth installation of Checkmate in India.
