Pratik Sasane, a student of MMPIPTR, stood first in Maharashtra with an impressive 91%.
Pratik Sasane credited his remarkable success to the institute and faculty members. Sharing his recipe for the success Sasane said, “The in-depth training and timely guidance from the faculty members helped me achieve this grand success. Also, the industrial visits were informative and made me sound, practically.”
Sasane has identified the growing scope in the field of printing technology and has decided to opt for higher education in the same field. He said, “Printing technology has observed a great technological growth in the world of advertisement and day-to-day product requirement. There are lots of printing industries which require skilled engineers.”
Anand Limaye, chairman of MMPIPTR said, “The entire batch of MMPIPTR has passed and given 100% result despite of all the odds like lack of infrastructural facilities. But this proves that the industry run educational institute concentrates more on qualitative education.”
Limaye added, “We ensure that our students are exposed to the industry by providing industrial training where they can get hands-on practical experience. Also we have a well-equipped library having up-to-date reference material. Now we have tied-up with TISS, a deemed university and from the academic year 2012-13, we are introducing a four year degree course for Bachelor of Engineering in Printing Technology.”
The Institute in Panvel has also initiated a short-term certificate course to generate well-trained ballers and helpers for the binding departments. Nearly 40 presses in and around Mumbai will be the training centres for this course. The six-month course aims to provide a mix of theory and practical knowledge to the students and improve the quality of skilled labour in the industry.
