Pre Press Services to install the KM Bizhub C8000 on display at the HCL Infosystems stall
New Delhi-based digital print specialist, Pre Press Services has invested in a second Konica Minolta (KM) Bizhub. The company will pick up the Bizhub C8000 on display at the HCL Infosystems stand at PrintPack India 2013, which will enable the firm to meet the growing demand for digital prints.

Pre Press Services was established as a pre-press bureau in 1989 but diversified into digital printing in 2009, installing India’s first KM 6501 in India. The company has since clocked 27-lakh impressions. “It’s not a very big number, but good enough for me to invest in a higher kit,” said Sumeet Wadhwa, owner of the firm.
The company is equipped with post-press equipment such that it is in a position to supply a product, not just prints. “About 60% of our jobs are print-only while 40% are finished products,” said Wadhwa. “A lot of the print-only sheets are used by the commercial printers to match their offset print,” he added.
The firm operates in the Kalkaji area of the capital city and caters to commercial printers, corporate and advertising agencies.
The reason Wadhwa opted for the C8000 was the press’ auto duplexing ability on 300gsm normal and on specialty substrates. “On the C6501 we could print only upto 240gsm specialty paper but this machine will enable me to print on higher gsm specialty paper,” said Wadhwa.
For HCL this installation means the clock turning full circle. “We started our business in the digital production print arena with Pre Press Services and now their next buy is also through us for the KM press,” said Umang Singal, product manager, at HCL Infosystems. “This also means consolidation of customer commitment,” he said.
HCL has an installed base of 18 C8000 Bizhub presses in India, four of which are in the C8000 in Delhi-NCR. This will be the fifth machine in this region.
