The company, which has been concentrating more on export markets in the last few fiscals, has decided to concentrate on local markets this year owing to economic concerns in the international markets.

“While our commitment to export market hasn’t dampened, this year we are looking forward to local market also. We have already supplied sufficient machines in various parts of India last year but in last five-years we have exported 52 units to Myanmar, Sudan, Tehran, Nigeria, Ghana, Mexico and Congo.

Yashpal Taneja, CEO, Precision Graphic Engineers foresees a tough time ahead for offset industry; especially for sheetfed offset printing machines manufacturers. “As you are well aware that major players like Manugraph and Max Print have already stopped manufacturing sheetfed presses in the country, facing tough competition from imported second-hand machines. We are concentrating on small printers who want to buy machines with low investment. In addition, we would continue to serve the industry with our multicolour machines with prompt after sale service,” Taneja said.

He also added that sheetfed printing has not witnessed major developments in last few years, and expects to see a game changer soon.

Asked about the venue change of PrintPack, he added, “In my opinion, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, is the right place for holding a pan-India show like PrintPack India 2013. With the shift in venue, it now seems like a regional exhibition. However, we have faith on organisers and hope that the show will not disappoint exhibitors.”
