Sanjeev Bhargava, proprietor of PPP, said, “It has minimised manual intervention in the lamination process. The existing two laminators were operated by a team of around 13 people. Now, only three people operate the entire machine. The entire lamination process has become fast and accurate. Unlike in the manual lamination process, the laminated sheets are ready to be used for processes like die-cutting. Also, the demand of met pad sheets is increasing.”

Premier Paper Packaging is the first generation entrepreneur and runs the lamination machine at 6,000 sheets an hour (75 meter an hour). The machine can laminate a sheet of size 30x40inch.

Recently the packaging printing company has bought a 40,000 sq/ft land for further expansion and it includes in-house corrugated production facility and a printing press. “The structure of our corrugated facility will entirely depend on our existing customers’ demand because the facility is planned so as to fulfil our in-house demand than for job work,” he further added.

Maneendra Verma, owner of SM Graphotronic, said, “We have installed around twenty lamination machines at most of the reputed packaging printers in the country and the number is increasing. Our technology is economical as compared to the existing machines in the market. And we are planning to set up a demo centre as well.”

“We find the Indian players making foray into this segment plus there is competition from the existing overseas players, but we have our own specialities,” Verma concluded.
