The two discussed matters ranging from forming of committees to look into the proliferation of trade shows closer to the two major shows, Pamex and PrintPack India, and prospects of a unified show; engaging and support towards strengthening manpower development; make in India; and import of used machinery.

“I’ve always believed in forging new partnerships and continuous collaborations. In my one-year tenure, I have listed eight missions, which I hope to accomplish, and I will need all the support I can get,” said Nair.

“I congratulate the new president of the AIFMP. Since the past four years, AIFMP and IPAMA have been supporting each other through exhibitions, and trade shows and we are looking forward to a similar association with the new committee, too” said Khurana.

Both the presidents are upbeat about print industry in India.”The greatest growth opportunities for print products are concentrated around revenues from print, publishing and packaging segment. And while the newspaper industry is struggling in the West, in India, it is growing. The latest print industry related reports suggest growth potential for India, particularly in the packaging segment,” they concluded.
