Presstek has launched three new eco-friendly CTP plate technologies at Ipex: a thermal plate for waterless presses, an open platform thermal plate and a plate for Epson inkjet printers.

Presstek’s new plate know-how
The Zahara waterless press plate has been launched as a competitor to Toray waterless plates, and is compatible with all sheetfed and narrow-web waterless models. It is rated for up to 100,000 impressions.
The open platform, 100,000- impression thermal GemPlate is designed as an alternative to established Agfa, Kodak and Fuji systems.
It features a pH-neutral biodegradable solution, requires no pre or post baking and is designed to be very easy to use, said Presstek.
