Print companies begin 2015 with a bang
The Point of Purchase Advertising International-India (POPAI) presented its fifth edition of awards on 5 February.

Between Brandmark Solutions, Spectrum Scan, and Jayna Packaging, print companies bagged 31 awards for their innovative, engaging, and effective retail displays.
Brandmark Solutions swept 16 POPAI awards under the personal care – permanent (Beer shampoo bottle unit), cosmetics & fragrances –temporary (Nivea lip gloss unit), innovation & technology (power of gentle – Windchimes) and Go Green award (C&C recyclable counter display unit) among other categories.
Spectrum Scan, had displayed the newly conceptualised sequential LED, static LED and LED powered by solar energy. According to Amit Shah, Spectrum is the first Indian firm to provide this solution under the ‘made in India’ tag. It bagged awards for beverages – temporary (HUL Lipton Ice Tea FSU), home care – permanent (HUL BBIS Super FSU), IT – services (Axis Bank - dynamic display), and best retail activation - with manpower (Cheryls Tray) among other categories.
Spectrum bagged a total of 16 awards.
While Jayna Packaging, with an array of fun solutions for the brand owners, bagged two awards for the personal care – temporary (Oral B stack display unit) and Go Green (B.inc gondola) categories.
The awards bring together the who’s who of the retail industry beginning from the brand marketers, retailers, design firms, advertising agencies and the marketing-at-retail industry as a whole.
