Print Olympiad 2022 national finale on 5 September
The grand national finale of the Print Olympiad 2022 is going to be held at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Murthal, Haryana on 5 September 2022 in the presence of a panel of eminent international Jury.

Prof (Dr) TKS Lakshmi Priya said, “The 5th Print Olympiad 2022 is being organised successfully under the visionary leadership and guidance of Prof Kamal Mohan Chopra. The idea is to pick the best student among all the four zones (East, West, North and South) and award the best with a first prize of Rs 1,00,000 to the top print student of India.”
The regional level competition for each zone, to select the top student of the region, was held online during the past few months. There were two preliminary tests where the registered students were given a set of 50 questions with multiple choice answers. Later, the selected top three students of the region participated in the regional finale, where these students were given five topics one each by different jury members and the students were to speak extemporaneously, for a specific time, on any one of these topics.
Prof Kamal Mohan Chopra, said all the four regional top students — Vishwa Sree K of College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai; Baddam Meghana Reddy, Central University of Haryana, Mahendragarh; Pinky Adak, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, West Bengal and Dwayne James Mandy, PVG College of Eng & Tech, Pune — will be participating in the national finale for the Print Olympiad at DCRUST, which will be held physically in the presence of an international Jury comprising of Peter Deckker, Sri Lanka; Prof Dr Anastasios Politis, Greece; Ms Karma Jurme, Yangzom, Bhutan; Tuti Rahaju Buntaran, Indonesia and Dr Rajendrakumar Anayath, India.
The Top Print Student of India selected by the jury will be awarded a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000 from the Offset Printers’ Association (OPA).
It is the only competition of its kind in the world and is considered to be India’s biggest talent hunt in printing.
Anubhava Shiksharthi, advisor of the project, said, “The curtain raiser of the Print Olympiad 2022 was held on 25 February 2022 in virtual mode. Since then, 12 competitions of various levels were organised and seven universities/printing institutions and more than 10 eminent printing teachers from various parts of the country were involved to host the fifth edition of Print Olympiad. There were 16 neutral and qualified judges from India and abroad to select the top print student from each region from more than 789 registered students from various institutions across the country.”
