Print Olympiad: West Zone round 2 results
The second round of the Print Olympiad for the West Zone was organised recently at a virtual platform. The Print Olympiad is India’s biggest talent hunt in printing.

Prof (Dr) Anjan Kumar Baral, the national coordinator for the event, said, “Print Olympiad is now a brand and is the most sought-after event for the students of printing. For the sake of transparency and widespread approach, the event is organised in association with the universities and institutions of printing in India.”
The West Zone competitions are being hosted by the PVG’s COET & GKPWIM, Pune and BAMU, Aurangabad. The coordinators for West Zone were Madhura Mahajan, HOD, Printing Tech, PVG’S COET, Pune and Parag Hase, HOD, Printing Tech, BAMU.
Her Excellency Dr Janice Darbari, the Honourary Consul General of Montenegro in India, inaugurated and declared the competition open.
The three judges for the competition were Arun Gangarde, HOD, Printing Tech, New Arts, Commerce & Science College, Ahmednagar; Shailendra Pople, president, Dombivli Shahar Mudrak Sangh; and Dr P Sasikala, dean (academics), HOD, New Media Technology, MC University, Bhopal.
The Olympiad was conducted in an online mode and it was of 30 minutes with 50 questions in it.
The students selected for the second round were Tanay Sarwade, PVG College of Eng & Tech, Pune; Abhishek Mahesh Khadkikar, PVG College of Eng & Tech, Pune; Mehetre Sakshi Arun, New Arts, Comm and Sc College, Ahmednagar; Pavan Kokane, SIES College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai; Roshan Kailas Bachhav, PVG College of Eng & Tech, Pune; Sanmay Jain, PVG College of Eng & Tech, Pune; Dwayne Mandy, PVG College of Eng & Tech, Pune; Siddharth Pandey, Government Kalaniketan, Jabalpur and Gaurav Kishor Patil, KTHM College, Nashik.
While declaring the result for the second round of the competition, Kamal Mohan Chopra congratulated the participants and also encouraged them to try their best to win the National finale.
The students who got selected for the next round were Mehetre Sakshi Arun, New Arts, Comm and Sc College, Ahmednagar; Roshan Kailas Bachhav, PVG College of Eng & Tech, Pune; and Dwayne Mandy, PVG College of Eng & Tech, Pune.
