The father of printing, Johannes Gutenberg, who invented the printing press, once said, “Yes, it is a press, certainly, but a press from which shall flow in inexhaustible streams, the most abundant and most marvellous liquor that has ever flowed to relieve the thirst of men! Through it, God will spread His Word. A spring of truth shall flow from it: like a new star it shall scatter the darkness of ignorance, and cause a light heretofore unknown to shine amongst men.”
 
Time and time again master printers have created “magic” through their print works.
 
PrintWeek India Awards is an initiative to honour such great print artists.
 
Every year the print synergy comes together at the PrintWeek India Awards to celebrate print and honour the unsung heroes of the Indian print fraternity.
 
The entries for the eighth edition of the PrintWeek India Awards are officially open, and the quest for finding optimum Indian print works is now underway.
 
The participants can submit their entries either in the performance categories, where they are judged on the basis of their business performance during the fiscal year or quality categories, where they are judged on the basis of the samples submitted by them.
 
The final deadline for the submission of entries is 7 September 2016.

For the eighth edition of PrintWeek India Awards, Pidilite, a market leader in adhesives, will sponsor the PrintWeek India Packaging Converter of the Year (General). 
 
Advanced Graphic Systems (AGS), the Mumbai-based colour management solution provider and New Delhi-based merchant of fine paper, recycled paper and dry grey boards will continue to sponsor the two PrintWeek India Awards categories as it did in the previous edition. The two categories are –Brochure & Catalogue Printer of the Year and Innovative Printer of the Year. 
 
Sona Paper comes on board as PrintWeek India Awards’ Paper Partner and category sponsor for Fine Art Printer of the Year. Welbound Worldwide will be sponsoring the Book Printer of the Year (Specialty), and Book Printer of the Year (Academic and Trade) categories, whereas Welbound Technical Services, will be category sponsor for Post Press Company of the Year.
