The Print Summit 2024 (PS 24) conference theme concerns trials and tribulations, the courage to fall, dust off and start with new hope and the vigour to rebuild and reinvent. As Faheem Agboatwala, PS chairperson put it, “This theme encapsulates the complete spectrum of what we wish to communicate with the community at large. It's all about getting above and beyond every situation or challenge.”
The PS 24 will be held on 18 January 2024 at the Tata Theatre, NCPA, Mumbai and will feature the who’s who of the Indian print-packaging industry and allied businesses, offering an opportunity for quality networking, premium raffle draws, improved hospitality and more.
Heavyweight speakers such as Devdutt Patanaik and Roshan Abbas have been roped in for this year's edition.
Besides other presentations, information for which will be shared in due course, the highlights of PS 24 are the two panel discussions – Power, Puff and Success; and Millennial Entrepreneurs.
Power, Puff and Success, moderated by Iqbal Kherodawala, managing director, Printline Reproductions will feature Siddhi Shah (Printstop), Sana Vasi (Triace), Zenia Patel (Jak Printers), Tania Hansoti (S Kumars Multiproducts) and Priyata Raghavan (Sai Security Printers) and discuss gender diversity and its and its future for the Industry.
Kherodawala said that printing and the allied business have always been seen as an industry and considered as a male bastion over many years. “There were, of course, exceptions to the rule, and we had notable lady business owners who ran their printing businesses very well. However, since the last few years, like in all businesses, ownership is no longer the sole prerogative of the males from the family, and we are seeing an equal number of lady owners who not only take over the commercial side but make an equal impact in the technical, creative as well as the marketing arm of their businesses. Like a breath of fresh air, they have transformed our industry…. and for the better.”
Kherodawala will chat with these power ladies at PS 24, and analyse how success in our industry is being transformed by these power-puff successful owners, who juggle various hats and end up handling all of them pretty effectively.
Under the ‘Lead the Change’ series – PS 24 will host millennial entrepreneurs Abiali Jani (Jani Sales), Rishubh Satiya and Akash Satiya, (Satiya Nutraceuticals) and Arjun Vaidya (Verlinvest PE, V3 Ventures). Ankul Nanavaty will moderate this panel of young turks.
Nanavaty said, “Millennial entrepreneurs are characterised by their courage to take risks, which sets them apart from others. They are not afraid of experimenting and trying new things, and they are always on the lookout for ways to disrupt traditional business models.” He added, “The discussion will reveal how these young men stepped outside their comfort zones, looked at things differently, futuristically, and led the change for their respective organisations.”
This PS promises to be bigger and better than before, something that the BMPA has consistently managed for the past decade
