Print Yatra takes a unifying leap
A Print Yatra was initiated by Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) under the guidance and control of Kamal Chopra, general secretary of OPA, in 2010 to educate the printers about the latest trends in the industry and the schemes available with the Government of India forthe improvement of SME’s.

The initiative has gained momentum with the joining of Asia’s largest printers association - Delhi Printers Association (DPA), led by Arun Berry, president of DPA.
“The main thrust is to persuade the printers to form associations, it is seen that printing press exists almost in each and every city but due to the unorganised sector it is not easy to reach them to educate them about the various schemes available with the Government of India and to check the problems being faced by them. In the last about two years it was possible to form 35 new associations in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan through the ‘Print Yatra’,” said Chopra.
Chopra added, “With the collaborated efforts of the DPA and OPA, Print Yatra recently scaled reached Uttar Pradesh and visited Mathura, Agra, Kanpur and Lucknow in the first phase.”
During the visits, Berry and Chopra also narrated the report of Drupa as many printers were keen to know the innovation on Nano technology by Benny Landa.
The printers in Agra and Lucknow formed new associations in the presence of Berry and Chopra, and were promised unconditional support and guidance at any point of time.
